2013 intentions: balance

So I know I'm a little late for the "new years resolutions party" or as I like to call them intentions.

Last year's intentions included:
- develop healthy habits
- reduce spending and save
- graduate from graduate school

I think I did pretty well with my intentions from last year but this new year is an entirely new ball game.

Not only did I finish graduate school but now I somehow find myself in charge of 18 little first graders again. I always have ridiculous high standards for myself and want to be the best teacher I can be for all of my little kids so that they can all work to their highest potential. However, because of recent events I'm finding myself having to balance my time between work and taking care of myself physically and emotionally. I'm having to slow down and find some balance.

This is pretty hard for me to do because it's hard to me to tell myself "that's enough". Thankfully my body has been letting me know when it's time to stop.

How do you practice balance in your life? What is one of your 2013 intentions?

  1. Looks like you had a very successful 2012. Balance is truly so hard to Achieve. But it's worth attempting. Best of luck this year, friend. Hope it's a great one. I think it may be the best ever.

  2. I agree with Kim - I think 2013 is your year (here comes baby!). I struggle with balance too - from working at home with a full time job, trying to build my etsy shop and wedding business and then time with Ryan and family/friends - sometimes its just overwhelming. One of my 2013 intentions is to work on my balance :)

    1. Thanks Kristen! I honestly don't know how you do it all! You must be super woman! :) I think we just need to remember our priorities and focus on what's most important in our lives. Sometimes it's hard to remember that because we get so caught up in the day to day...
